Carolyn came to BVH in August, 2000, having worked at a smaller clinic for a year. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in December, 2002, with a B.S. in Animal Science. Her areas of work include reception, exam, discharge, bookkeeping, and co-coordinating our Job Shadow program with Jen B. She likes working with a variety of animals that enter the hospital and is especially interested in exotic animal medicine. Carolyn has two cats, two Maltese dogs, one Standard Poodle, two rats, two Bearded Dragons, and three tortoises. |

Dominique joined our practice in August, 2009. She can be found working in our inpatient area as an Animal Care Technician. Dominique chose BVH because she loves working with animals, and decided to stay because "the staff is so nice!" At home she spends her time with her Pug (Muffin) and two cats. She enjoys the warmer weather, as her favorite activities include going to the beach, mountain biking, and just being outside. |

Jen began volunteering at BVH in April, 2004. She so enjoyed the patient variety and constant opportunity for learning that she became a permanent employee in July, 2005. She graduated from Becker College in May, 2009 with an A.S. in Veterinary Technology. She can be found in our inpatient and exam areas as well as co-coordinating our Job Shadow program with Carolyn B. She also helps to update the website's bio pages and Lost & Found page. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, kayaking, swimming, and going to the beach. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her Chihuahua, Cody, and her new pittie rescue, Layla. |

Julie has been a member of the BVH family since 2004. Prior to that, she had been working with animals for over 5 years. Julie enjoys seeing live stand-up comedians and attending concerts (especially Beatles cover bands!). Amanda has been a part of our family since March, 2005. She works in all facets of the hospital and also helps to monitor and coordinate VetCentric, our home delivery partner pharmacy, and is a member of their advisory board. Amanda enjoys BVH because of "the incredible team effort from everyone - it's like a second family. Also, the cases we see here are always interesting - never a dull moment!" During her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, TV/film production, sewing/embroidery, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband are owned by two adorable cats (Liam and Elska), and share their hearts with the memory of their beloved Zoey and Maya (pictured). |

Sara began working at Bolton Vet in January of 2005. She works here as a veterinary technician and anesthetist, and began working here because BVH/EORVEC's 24 hour emergency clinic offered her the fast paced work environment she was looking for. Sara has a B.S in Behavioral Biology, and is currently a student nurse, due to graduate in 2012. Sara enjoys outdoor activities, traveling to tropical isles, and enjoys the company of her two cats. |

Erica started working at BVH in November, 2009. She has an A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Becker College, and is currently working on her B.S. in Veterinary Science. She chose BVH because she was looking for a fast-paced emergency hospital with a wide patient variety. At home, she enjoys the company of her two cats, Dora & Taboo, two Shar-pei/ Pugs, Mojo & Misi, her Yorkie, Tyke, and her Old English Bulldog, Diesel. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, but she also co-owns a canine rescue that transports puppies from kill shelters in the south to be adopted into loving homes. |

Honore came to BVH in November, 2008. She has a B.A. in Mathematics form Central Connecticut State University, as well as an A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Holyoke Community College. Honore has lots of energy and can always be found keeping busy! She can be motivated to work for chocolate!! She typically works in our Lab and at our Phone Desk. Honore has one dog named Barista.

Stacey came to work at BVH in June, 2000. She has an A.S. in Veterinary Technology and a B.S. in Veterinary Science. Before being hired here, at the age of seventeen she took advantage of our job shadow program and was able to make an informed decision about what she wanted to do for a career. Fortunately for us, she decided to become a veterinary technician and became an official member of our team. Stacey is specially trained in anesthesia and can generally be found working in the inpatient area of our hospital. She has three cats (Keely, Odin, and Parker) and enjoys spending her free time playing pool, camping, watching movies, traveling, and sight-seeing. |

Katie started working at BVH in January, 2009. She is currently pursuing an A.S. in Management Information Systems at Manchester Community College. For Katie, working with animals is truly a passion - she is all heart and soul. She chose BVH because of the variety of animals, medical cases, and people that we get to work with and learn from. She can be found working all over our hospital, but especially enjoys working directly with the animals in our inpatient area. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking and playing video games (her XBox GamerScore can attest to that!) |

Mike joined our hospital in January, 2005. He enjoys working in the inpatient and laboratory areas of our facility. When he is not working he enjoys songwriting and painting. He keeps his coworkers constantly smiling and entertained by turning even the most mundane task into a song. Mike has three cats, one dog, and a beautiful wife. |

Rachael began working at BVH in August, 2010. She can be found working in our inpatient, exam and discharge areas, and at our WellCare office. She lives with her husband Rob, her three rescue dogs, Monty, Dinah, and Logan, and one rescue cat named Kingsley. In her spare time, Rachael enjoys photography, kayaking, and hiking. |

Kacey came to us in November of 2009 with and A.S in Animal Science and Equine Sports Massage Therapy. She can be found working here as a vet tech, and an exam tech. At home, she has cats, horses, ducks, chickens, and three rescued mutts from the shelter, including Timber, who is pictured on the left. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, riding her horses, going to field trials, and going to concerts. She is currently attending Goodwin College. |

Eileen started working at BVH in the summer of 2005. In 1992, she received the highest score in the state of Connecticut on her CVT exam. She works in the Exam area of the hospital, and works as and Assistant Trainer with canine group obedience classes in our Behavior and Training Department. What she likes best is "the variety of daily tasks which result in opportunities to learn new things every day." She says "the quality of patient care is, without a doubt, as good as in any human hospital." Eileen is especially interested in canine geriatrics and canine training. Her hobbies include reading and trail riding on her beautiful Islandic horse. She shares her home with two Keeshonds (providing lots of fur!), one cat, two goats, and her horse. |

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Samantha has been working in the veterinary industry since 2003 and has worked at Bolton Vet since 2007. She is a member of the APDT and the SVBT, and is a certified C.L.A.S.S. Evaluator as well as an American Kennel Club authorized Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Her passion in the veterinary industry is canine behavior and training, and she is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). Samantha maintains the hospital's website and Facebook page. In addition to this, Samantha works in the outpatient areas of our main hospital, at our WellCare facility, and in our Behavior and Training Department as a dog trainer.
Samantha earned her A.A. in Liberal Arts & Science from Manchester Community College. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, camping, cycling, kayaking, reading, baking, and cake decorating. Samantha and her Shetland Sheepdog, Renegade, are members of Allan's Angels as a Certified Therapy Dog Team. Besides Renegade, she shares her home with Lucy and Tanya, both Shetland Sheepdogs; Linus, a long-haired tuxedo cat; Squee, a chinchilla; Dax, a New Caledonian Crested Gecko; and a nameless newt. |

Mary started work at BVH in January of 2007. Mary has a B.S. in Journalism and Geography. She chose to work at BVH because of the fast paced work environment and the diversity of cases seen, and also because she wanted to work at an emergency veterinary hospita. She can be found in almost all areas of the hospital, including inpatient, outpatient, and the wellcare office. At home she has four spoiled rotten kitties named Milo, Jiggy, Isabella and Weezie. In her spare time, Mary enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and traveling the world. Mary has even traveled to Africa two times to volunteer as a rehabilitator. She has gone to South Africa to rehabilitate Chocma Baboons, and went to Namibia to rehabilitate lions and cheetahs. She hopes to do this again soon! |

Vicki interned at Bolton Vet in 2005, gained some more experience, and came back to us in July 2008 to be a permanent employee. She has an A.S. and is a CVT in CT and an LVT in NY. She can be found working in exam, discharge, reception and phones, and occasionally works in our inpatient area. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing, horseback riding, pastel drawing, reading and doing horsehair jewelry. She enjoys the companionship of her two cats, Priscilla (a Maine Coon) and Rita (a domestic shorthair.) |

Carol has been with us since November of 1996. She has a degree in visual fine arts but her passion is veterinary medical nursing. She likes BVH "because of its progressive attitude towards veterinary medicine and the diversity of it's inpatient population." Her interests within the field are emergency medicine and surgery. Carol currently works in our inpatient area as an anesthetist and Team Leader. She is also one of our laboratory technicians. In her spare time, you will find her playing with her grandchildren, gardening, making pottery or oil painting, and cooking. Carol's family of furry friends includes two shih-tzus (Daisy and Popeye), a boxer mix (Yogi), and two cats (Floyd and Opal). |

Corey began working at BVH as a volunteer when she was 15 years old. She then got hired in 2002 to work as an animal care technician, and worked her way up over the years. She can now be found working as an inpatient technician with a special interest in farm animal medicine. Shauna began working at BVH in May 2006 as a veterinary technician. She says, "I enjoy working at Bolton Vet because of the quality of animal care and the ability to work with several different species." She enjoys spending her time playing softball, football, snowboarding, horseback riding, hiking, and camping. She enjoys the company of two Australian Shepherds - Riley and Brodey, and one Corgi/Jack Russel named Miss Fay.

Faith joined BVH in November, 2006, having already worked at other small and large animal practices in the area. She is currently a student majoring in Coastal Studies at UCONN, Avery Point. She chose to work at BVH because of the fast-paced diversity of a large practice and loves that the staff is like one big family. Faith works at the Reception, Exam and Discharge areas of the hospital. In her spare hours, she spends time with her lab/pointer cross (Pepper). She also has one horse (Jonesy), two cats (Innara and Kali), and several reptiles. |

Jackie R., CVT

Jackie joined our staff in April, 1989. She worked as a technician-in-training at two smaller practices, but sought to expand her skills. She chose BVH because of its reputation for quality medicine, and stayed because of that and the family atmosphere. She took the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam) and earned one of the top three scores in the state of Connecticut. After completing the Medical Laboratory Technician course at Manchester Community College, she became one of our laboratory technicians. Jackie is especially interested in cytology and hematology, and outside of the lab, avian medicine and behavior. She is an avid sea kayaker and enjoys folk and Irish music, wilderness adventures, nature study, making pottery and jewelry, and is a Master Gardener. Jackie has a quirky Bull Terrier (Rowan), a Cairn Terrier (Meg, who is almost as cute as Lori's "Amy"), two cats (Barley and Miss Kitty), and one parrot (Bonnie). |

Jackie came to work at BVH in June, 2003. She possesses a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University and works primarily in our Business Office. One of the many reasons Jackie loves working at BVH is because we are able to provide care to even the most critical patients any time of the day or night. She spends her spare time cheering on her daughter's soccer and softball teams and enjoys watching her son play hockey for the BCL Whalers. The rest of her family includes two Golden Retrievers (Gracie and Lexie) and one cat (Snickers). |

Marchelle began working at BVH in November, 2005. She chose our facility for its excellent doctors and staff, and because we offer 24-hour emergency services. Marchelle can usually be found working with our clients at reception, discharge, and at the phone desk. She also enjoys working the emergency clinic on a regular basis. Marchelle spends much of her spare time gardening, cooking, and doting upon her two lovable Corgis (Bailey and Trotter). |

Danielle began working at BVH in September, 2005. She chose us because of our large size and has decided to stay with us because of her great coworkers. In her free time, Danielle enjoys trail riding, attending horse shows, hiking with her two dogs, and taking the dogs swimming. |

Alyssa began working at BVH in 1995. When asked why she chose to work here, she says "because it's fun." In addition to her CVT & LATG, she also has a B.S. in Pathobiology. Alyssa also enjoys the company of many pets, including eight dogs, four house cats, some barn cats, three horses, one mini donkey, numerous goats & sheep, one cockateil, one rabbit, and a geriatric cow named Amos. |

Mel started working at BVH in March, 2007. She attended Windham Tech and earned a degree in Architectural Technologies. She feels that rather than choosing BVH, BVH chose her. She loves working on the emergency clinic and enjoys working here because it is always so busy and exciting and there is always something new to learn. She can be found working in our impatient area, and often works overnight on the emergency clinic. At home, Mel has a Pit Bull mix (Bosa), a Sun Conure (Bishop), and an adorable French Bulldog (Buddha). Mel's interests include tattoos, makeup, and exotic animals. |

Vaughn, a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Plattsburgh, joined BVH in June, 1997, as a technician. Vaughn worked in our inpatient area for the first 4 to 5 years of his time here at BVH, and has now settled into working exam and reception where he enjoys working with both animals and people. While working here at BVH, Vaughn met, fell in love with and married his wife Sharlene. He greatly enjoys his coworkers, friends, family, pets, and most of all being able to work with his wife every day. His motto regarding his BVH experience: "If you find something you like and do that thing, you will never have to work a day in your life." When not at BVH, Vaughn splits his time between spending quality time with Shar and mountain biking or trail building in the woods of New England with his loyal dogs by his side. |

Renee joined the BVH family in August of 2009 as a technician. She has a B.S. in Education and Biological Sciences. Renee came to us with three years experience in the veterinary field where she spent two of those years working for a canine reproduction specialist. Renee can be found working in both the inpatient and outpatient areas of the hospital. She has a special interest in canine reproduction and breeding and farm animal medicine. Renee is married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, and they share their home with their Newfoundland Dogs. In her free times she enjoys training her Newfoundlands in drafting and water rescue work.
