The continuous dedication and constant hard work of Dr. Leventhal and his wife paid off.  Over the years, as the practice grew, additions were made to the original hospital.  But by 1975 the "small" practice of Bolton Veterinary Hospital had grown enough that it required a new, much larger building.  Dr. Leventhal decided to build his new hospital directly behind the location of the original.  The "new" building, our current location, was actually constructed around one of Dr. Leventhal's favorite trees.  A grand old Sugar Maple (the second largest tree in Bolton !) stood in Dr. Leventhal's back yard and he refused to cut it down in order to make room for the new hospital.  Instead, he had the blueprints drawn up so that the tree could reside just out front of the new construction.  Once the plans were made and Dr. Leventhal was satisfied that his precious Sugar Maple would remain safe, construction of the 10,000 square foot clinic began.

It was around the same time that Dr. Leventhal allowed several of his associate veterinarians to buy into the practice and become official partners.  Three of the original partners, Dr. William Pomper, Dr. David Coley and Dr. Michael Tulman, are still here with us today!  Along with Dr. Leventhal, the new partners supervised the construction of the hospital, which was completed in 1976.  All of the existing equipment was moved from the original building into the new construction and the first Bolton Veterinary Hospital was razed to the ground.  The entire process of moving from one building to the other, including demolishing the first, took about two hours on one sunny afternoon in September.  The rest, as they say, is history.
