Fortunately, he returned shortly after graduating to re-join our staff as a veterinarian. Dr. Badeau chose to return to our clinic because of our "family-like" atmosphere and because we offer one of the highest case-loads in the area. He enjoys the diversity that our emergency clinic offers and appreciates the collaborative effort that this 18 doctor practice provides. His special interests lie in dentistry and alternative medicine. At home, Dr. Badeau has 2 cats, Mojo and Achilles, and a seven-year-old German Shepherd named Zooma. When he's not working, Dr. Badeau enjoys flyfishing, camping, hiking, metalsmithing, and attending New York Yankee baseball games.
David Coley, D.V.M.
Dr. Coley started his BVH career in June 1973 after graduating from The New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell. He had completed his undergraduate course work at Cornell's New York State College of Agriculture. He chose to come to BVH because of our reputation as a progressive practice, with the added benefits of multiple doctors and a clientele that includes dairy farmers. Dr. Coley enjoys working with farm animals, though, sadly, there are fewer farms today than there were in the 1970s. His area of small animal expertise is dentistry and he regularly participates in dental short courses, as well as other continuing education seminars. The Coleys have three dogs; a Golden Retriever named Indy; a Chihuahua cross, Cody; and a German shepherd, Daphne. Their cats are Jasper, Max, Brownie, and Minerva. Dr. Gotler obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester in 1995 and her Doctorate from Purdue University in 1999. After graduation, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Cornell University and acted as an instructor in clinical pathology at Cornell. He completed his pre-veterinary studies at the University of Connecticut in 1983 and his Doctorate at Purdue University in 1988. He rejoined the BVH veterinary staff in 1994 due to, as he says, "the challenge of seeing large numbers of difficult cases in a practice that remains down-to-earth".
