Growing up in Manchester, CT and attending Glastonbury High School, Dr. Zelinsky was provided a unique opportunity to take veterinary and animal science classes through her high school’s Vocational Agriculture Program. Because of this experience and her experiences growing up with dogs, cats, horses and a variety of “pocket pets,” animals were always a very important part of her day-to-day life. As such, becoming a veterinarian was the next logical step enabling her to help the animals she loves and owners that love their pets. After earning her Bachelor of Science at The University of New Hampshire, then her Doctorate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Zelinsky spent five years working at an emergency and general practice in Fairfax, Virginia before returning to Connecticut and continuing her career at Bolton Vet. Her favorite aspects of the job are emergency medicine, feline medicine, soft tissue surgery and working with exotic pets. In addition to snuggling with her dogs, Chase and Libby, and her two cats, Oden and Thor at home, Dr. Zelinsky enjoys riding on her Canadian Warmblood horse, Magoo.
